As fast as I can, I close the curtains and light the candles I stashed in the drawer under our bed a few days ago.

Calli is adamant that this baby is going to be early, and I’m desperate to get one last date with my girl and our bump before that happens.

Hitting play, the room fills with soft music and I take a step back to appreciate my handiwork.

I probably could have done a better job, or whisked her off to a spa or something. But that would mean sharing her with others, and that is not happening today.

Reaching behind my head, I pull my t-shirt off before shoving my shorts down my legs, leaving me in just my boxer briefs.

It’s taken a lot of time to be able to embrace my body, but with unconditional love from both my girls, I’m just about there.

Not so long ago, I wouldn’t have had the confidence to go walking out there like this. But now, I’ll own it just like Alex would. Fuck it. For Calli, I’ll even do it better.

The second I step out of our bedroom, she looks up, and just as I was expecting, her eyes drop from mine, feasting on my body.

“Now, these are plans I can get on board with,” she announces as I close the space between us.

“You’ve no idea what I’ve got in store for you, Angel,” I tease.

“I’ll take my chances,” she counters.

“That’s brave when you know exactly what I’m capable of.”

“Like I said, I’ll take my chances.”

The second I reach out, she slips her hands into mine and I tug her from the sofa.

Her bump brushes my stomach as I cup her jaw.

“You’re so fucking beautiful, Angel.”

She wants to argue, I can see it in her eyes, but she won’t.

She might not have agreed to being a good girl for me, but she knows better than to try and convince me of what I already know.

She’s uncomfortable, and more than ready to be done with this pregnancy, but to me, she’s just as breathtaking as ever.

“Come on, I’ve got plans for you.”

Still refusing her the kiss she so badly wants, I lead her down to our bedroom, and she sighs when she steps inside.

I’ve no idea if it’s because of the flickering candles, the sweet scent of vanilla or just the fact the air con is cooler in here, but the sound of it hits me straight in the dick nonetheless.

Stepping up behind her, I let her feel exactly what she does to me as I slide my hands under her round belly and slip them beneath her top.

“Nikolas,” she breathes, leaning back against me and resting her head on my shoulder. “I love you.”

It doesn’t matter that she’s been telling me those three words for over five years now. I still get goosebumps whenever she says it.

“Not as much as I love you,” I whisper in her ear.

Dragging her tank over her belly, I caress her skin before pulling it higher and off.
